This has the taste of yesterday updated to meet today's palates. I love this dressing and it was one of two signature dressings I used as the executive chef at a Washington, D.C. seafood restaurant. Great stuff. Don't be put off by the use of anchovy paste; it is not noticeable and the dressing is very memorable. Works especially well as a Caesar substitute!

This easy gourmet sandwich is so good, you would serve it to the president if you had him over for dinner. As far as grilled cheese goes, this is it! Serve with a nice gourmet Italian salad.

This is a rich layered dessert made in a large 9x12-inch baking pan. A buttery graham cracker crust holds a layer of peanut butter and cream cheese that 's followed by a yummy layer of vanilla and chocolate pudding. And finally, whipped topping, chopped peanuts and shaved chocolate crown the top.

This dandy pecan-less pie combines rolled oats and coconut in a sweet, sweet buttery filling. When it 's baked up, you 'd be hard pressed to tell it from the real McCoy. Serve it with whipped cream.

Norway's Best Pepper Cookies

This recipe is from the Norwegian Embassy in Washington, D.C. Cookies and recipes were handed out at a cultural event that my family attended a few years ago. All Norwegian homes "must" serve at least 7 kinds of cookies at Christmas. This recipe is different from other pepperkaker recipes on this web site because it calls for cream and does not use eggs. So it's great for any who can't eat eggs. Enjoy!

Beef eye of round steaks are simmered in a red wine sauce until tender enough to cut with a fork. This is said to be one of former President Ford's favorite recipes.
