I've kept this recipe from my Grandmother. Apples, celery, dates and walnuts are dressed in a light fluffy marshmallow cream. It's very good and children seem to love it.

Here's a fun way to serve fruit to the kids for Thanksgiving. Pears are cut in half to make turkeys, raisins and dried apricots form the faces and feet, a couple of walnut pieces make the wattles, and sliced apples and mandarin orange sections are arranged into a fan of tail feathers.

Several steps build to the final salad crescendo. Chopped apples and bananas marinate in pineapple juice, and kiwi and strawberries are sliced. Then everything is mixed into peach pie filling and spooned into a beautiful serving bowl.
