When I was young, my mother used to buy cuts of meat at a butcher shop in the north end of Boston called Al Capone's. That night she would always make her Al Capone Roast. This is a variation of my mothers recipe.

BBQ Steak Teriyaki

You start with a bottled teriyaki sauce, and add a few things of your own: ginger, orange zest, sesame oil, vinegar, cayenne and garlic. Pour over the flank steak, marinate for a few hours and grill.

There's just something about soy sauce and lemon juice that makes flank steak become moist and flavorful. The longer you marinate the meat, the more tender it gets. Grill and slice on the diagonal, and you have a great meal.
