Made on the stovetop, this delicious apple treat is served with a lovely nutmeg sauce. Sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon and water are put in a saucepan and brought to a boil. Then soft dough is dropped onto the hot apples and simmered for 30 minutes.

Apricots and Dumplins

For this unique recipe, apricots are cooked up with water, sugar, lemon juice and butter until they are plump and juicy. Strips of flour tortillas are stirred in, and the mixture is cooked for another 45 minutes. This recipe yields three quarts.

This treat should be called blueberry sigh. Because that 's what you do when you take you 're first bite. The blueberry sauce is great, and the dumplings are especially good with their smidgen of lemon rind. It cooks up in a skillet and when ready, the sauce and dumplings are topped with heavy cream.

Coconut Crust

You might want to forget the filling and just munch on the fabulous coconut crust. And it 's so simple to make. Coconut and melted butter are combined and pressed into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate. Bake for 15 minutes, cool and fill with your favorite pie stuff.
