This recipe has been handed down from my great-great grandmother at least. We're not sure how far it goes back, but does go back to the early 1900's at least.

These are delicious alternatives to cold cereal, and kids love them. Barley cereal works just as well. Don't omit the orange peel!

The title says it all. Everyone who has ever tasted these has asked for the recipe. Don't be alarmed at the amount of flour, it is correct. The dough is pretty thick.

Rolled oats, wheat germ, a variety of seeds including sunflower, flax, and sesame seeds, plus chocolate chips, honey, and brown sugar make a crunchy, energy-packed bar that's perfect as a take-along snack on the ski slope.

This is an easy, healthy, but yummy, no-bake snack that disappears quickly whenever I take it along. You can easily substitute other ingredients for the cereal part such as ground or chopped nuts, flax seeds, etc. If you don't have enough of one thing, just add more of another.

These cute bird's nest cookies are made with a pecan cookie dough pressed into a nest shape. The nests are then filled with chocolate chips and baked. Your kid cooks will be happy to help, and happy to eat.

Make cookies that look like bird nests! Pretty for school spring celebrations or Easter. You can use egg-shaped candies in lieu of the jellybeans, too.

This is New Mexico's traditional cookie. A great thick sugar cookie that is dusted with cinnamon-sugar. The traditional shape is fleur-de-lis, but use your favorite cookie cutters if you like.
