NEWEST COOKIES - SWEDEN RECIPES

Traditional Swedish Pepparkakor

Submitted by: Eal
Paper-thin and spicy, these cookies are a beloved Swedish Christmas tradition. Thoroughly chilling the dough before rolling it out, and dusting cookie cutters with flour will make the cut-out process easier.

Swedish Cookies (Brunscrackers)

Submitted by: Sheila
These Scandinavian sugar cookies are simple to make, just form them into bars and cut after baking. This is a recipe that my husband's nana has made for years. They are the easiest cookies I have ever made. The ingredients were harder to find than it was to make the cookies. They are like potato chips, you cannot eat just one!

Swedish Cake Rusks

Cake rusks are like biscotti. We like them with our breakfast tea or coffee. Swedish Rusks are great for dunking. Store rusks in an airtight container.

TOP COOKIES - SWEDEN RECIPES

Swedish Angel Crisps

Submitted by: Barbara Morgan
This recipe came from my great grandmother's family who came from Sweden somewhere near the end of the last century. NOTE: You can also add 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa to this recipe. It makes the cookies taste like brownie cookies.

Sandbakelser I

Submitted by: Patty
This is an old Swedish recipe. Use with sandbakelse molds.

Swedish Ice Box Cookies

Submitted by: Bret Gifford
These cookies were a favorite of my Grandmother. We don't know where the recipe came from, but it's very old. Because of my Grandmother, our entire family loves these cookies. They are definitely an acquired taste but delicious! I am proud to be able to share this recipe with you, the world.
