Dry rubs can be as successful as a liquid marinade, and add wonderful flavors to meat or poultry with very little effort. This rub has herbs, sugar and powdered mustard, perfect for chicken or pork. Make up a few batches and give them away as gifts.

You can give fish, beef, pork or poultry a zesty boast with this spicy seasoning. I like to sprinkle the mix on catfish fillets before broiling them.

Use this dry rub on your favorite meat before grilling. It stores well in an airtight container, and I've had a lot of positive feedback no matter what I cook it on.

Jalapeno salt is quite expensive when you can find it in the stores. So I invented my own recipe. You can find Jalapeno powder online at several online retailers. (use a search engine to find a supplier)

Pull out your spice drawer and get ready, because there are a heap of herbs and spices in this one: garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, coriander, savory, thyme, basil, bay leaves, cumin and brown sugar. Rub on the meat, chill overnight and grill.

This recipe uses only half of what 's in your spice cabinet: chili powder, mustard powder and garlic powder are mixed up with paprika, oregano and brown sugar. It smells wonderful and adds such a great flavor to grilled meat.

Tennessee Rubdown

A rub for all meats, but we use mainly ribs in Tennessee. Brown sugar, ground peppers and spices are blended to bring out the full flavor of whatever you decide to toss on the grill!

A stimulating rub for meat that is easily made with ingredients you probably already have. Excellent on porterhouse steaks, and pretty good on chicken and lamb.

Bottles of this spicy blend are fun to share with family and friends. It's a mixture with broad appeal since the rub can be used on all meats or added to rice while it's cooking for a boost of flavor.
