My Mum always made these tasty and easy to make appetizers on Christmas morning. We would snack on them while opening presents and it would make the wait for the big Christmas dinner much easier. You will need toothpicks for this recipe.

These little toasts can be served by themselves as appetizers or sometimes I like to serve them as croutons on salad.

Blue cheese, Port and walnuts are pureed in a food processor before being transferred into an attractive serving dish (or crock). Serve with crackers or baguette slices. Refrigerated, this will keep for three weeks.

My grandmother made this appetizer for family get togethers ever since I was a child, and I now make it every Christmas Eve for the family. It's very easy to make and even the kids like it. I have used chopped pecans, but the walnuts are my favorite. Serve with crackers.
