This recipe can be served hot or cold with a variety of different crackers or bread. It can be placed in a loaf of hollowed out sourdough bread; the bread can be used for dipping. Don't heat dip when in the bread; bread will become soggy. Heat the dip, and then fill bread. 

Great Hot Crab Dip

A simple spicy crab dip with crab, cream cheese, mayonnaise, onion and cocktail sauce. Topped with sliced almonds and baked to a bubbly golden brown. Great served with crackers or slices of warm sourdough bread for dipping.

If you serve this in sliced pita bread it taste like the hot crab sandwiches served at state fairs . Good with chips, too! To prepare in the microwave, soften the cream cheese in a microwave safe dish. Follow the steps for combining the ingredients. Microwave on medium for 4 to 6 minutes.
