I made these just as the recipe calls for and they came out very dense and gummy. They're almost inedible. It's not often that I'm disappointed with such highly rated recipes but this one was definitely a let down.

I needed to use up the leftover strawberries from our garden. I used applesauce for oil and almond milk. I did add some vanilla (1/2 tea spoon) and cinnamon (1/2 tea spoon). They were great!

Simple and delicious! I made this recipe exactly as written and the kids and I loved the results. Not too sweet, not too plain. They were all gone in one day...and we doubled the recipe!

I just made these and they're fabulous!!! I did what everyone else suggested and added the 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 tsp of vanilla and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and they turned out heavenly! The only thing I didn't understand was that my batch produced 12 instead of 8 muffins. I filled the cups about 75% of the way before baking and they turned out like standard muffins so I am not sure why I got more than the recipe said I would. Also, I used 1 cup of whole wheat flour and 3/4 cup of oatmeal ground into flour instead of the white flour, just to make them a little healthier. YUM! I can't wait to share them with my friends tomorrow!!

I used whole wheat flour and applesauce instead of oil. I made one batch with the strawberries chopped but they just oozed juice while baking and made them so ugly with brownish liquid all stuck to the sides. For the 2nd attempt I pureed the strawberries and it made them much prettier and the taste was great but the texture was a little gummy in the middles even after cooking for extra time.
