Oh man! These are so good. Way better than the store bought kind. I added more M&Ms to the top before cooking and they look as good as they taste!

I have seen this recipe on here for years, and I finally decided to try it. I made a 1/2 recipe and used mini M&M's and did half butter and half shortening. I got 30 cookies from half the recipe. They weren't bad, but just tasted so much like something from the grocery store bakeries. I guess, I like more of that homemade taste.

I did NOT change a thing and would recommend against it! When you take cookies out of the oven and they're warm, they do taste of shortening BUTTTTTTTTTT after they have cooled off you can no longer taste shortening! I HIGHLY recommend this recipe! Thanks Robbi!

So good! I made with butter instead of shortening. My cookies always end up flat (these did, too) even with refrigerating the dough before cooking, but they tasted amazing! So good!

I went with butter too. BEST turn-out I've ever had for M&M cookies. We used the mini M&Ms and they were awesome!

I was looking for a recipe to use up Easter m&ms and came across this one. My nieces and I made them this morning, and they turned out awesome :) I used half shortening and half marg because I didn't have enough of either, and the girls actually lightly rolled them before we baked them. They spread out perfectly, and taste fantastic! Thank you for sharing!
