These cookies deserve to be 5 star, i add a little bit more cinnamon to the dough just for fun, and either way, my friends beg for more! this is the best and most used recipie out of all.

amazing cookies! Never made snickerdooles before but these were great! I did as others suggested and removed them at 8 min and took them off the pans right away and put them on a cooling rack. Will be adding to my recipe box to make again! Also, I did as another reviewer suggested and put the cinnamon/sugar in a zip lock bag and put the cookie dough in one at a time, worked awesome.

Yum! I decided I wanted to make cookies at 2am while home from college, and this was the recipe I decided on, because we had no chocolate chips, and my school's snickerdoodles are gross =P Well anyways, I should have halved this recipe, because it makes a ton! I made 2 dozen of the cookies (one 12-sheet at a time) and decided to ball, dip, and freeze the rest because there was only 2 other people awake at the time! But these are really good, we keep cream of tartar on hand just to make snickerdoodles. I also needed more of the cinnamon-sugar to dip in. While some reviewers said bake exactly 8 minutes, that was a little underdone for the second batch, the first batch where I pulled them out when the tops had been cracked for a minute or so was the best, but I forgot to time it.

These taste so good however if you use about 2 tablespoons of dough and only cook for 8 minutes they dont get done enough. Just cooked a little longer and they were AMAZING!!!

These cookies are FANTASTIC! I bake cookies ALOT and these are my new favorite. I followed the recipe exactly and they came out perfectly - chewy in the middle and just a tiny crispness around the edges. I also found a great way to keep my hands clean. I put the cinnamon sugar into a small bowl. Then I used my medium sized Pampered Chef cookie scoop to scoop up the ball of dough and then dropped it into the bowl. I used a large spoon to scoop up some cinnamon sugar and pour over the cookie dough ball. Once the cookie was coated, I slid a fork under the cookie ball, tapped off the excess cinnamon sugar mixture and slid it off onto the parchment paper. Perfect! No sticky mess :) I will definitely be making these again and again!

I liked these a lot. I tried making Snickerdoodles when I was a kid, but they were a little too tricky. To avoid getting those HORRID cream of tartar lumps in the cookies, I subbed 2 tsp of baking powder and 1 tbsp white vinegar. Skipped the cream of tartar altogether. They came out REALLY good. Bake the cookies for just about 8 mins on 350 degrees. When the cookies settle, they are best with a softer middle. Thanks so much to all of the people who left notes on here. I used the tips and was very successful because of fellow reviewers.

Pretty good. Still looking for that perfect Snickerdoodle from my childhood. Wish I had my mom's old recipe book. Don't know what happened to it.:(

I made these around the holidays and my husband's coworkers are still asking for more! The first time I made them they were perfect, the second and third times they fell a little flat, but last time they were, once again, perfect. I'm not sure what I did differently, but even when they fall they're delicious!
