I just made this and I must admit it is pretty good. This coming from a person who is not fond of dressings. I did change a couple things..used garlic powder instead of salt..added some minced garlic and onions...instead regular white vinegar I used white wine vinegar with a splash of lemon juice and used hemp seed oil instead of canola.

This was excellent! Tasted so fresh and good. Much better than the sugar-filled dressings that you get in the store!

WAY too salty as written. Reduce the salt to one Tbs and this Italian dressing mix would be 5*****. We use this mix constantly. I omit the water in my preparation because I find the lettuce tends to have water on it from washing. Thanks Debby

I had an onion powder malfunction (lumps in the bottle of onion powder). So I threw all of the dry ingredients into our mini chopper and it was great!!! Everything was chopped and mixed perfectly. I doubled this recipe, used most of it on the garden pasta salad recipe on this website and bottled the rest. We used to buy bottles of salad dressing from an italian restaurant chain (O.G.) but this I'd have to say is just as good or better!!! Glad I kept the bottles from the O.G. salad dressing we used in the past :-)

Didn't have a pack of this on hand for a recipe... so I used this instead! It turned out great! I omitted the salt like everyone else.

Nice restaurant style dressing. I made it healthier by using raw sugar and a little bit of splenda. I also supplemented the canola oil with grapeseed oil. I threw all the ingredients in the blender, increased the water and oil. Perfect amount of oregano. I also increased the basil and parsley...I didn't use thyme because I hate dried thyme. Very nice tasting

I toned a couple of the spices down a bit according to personal taste. I've tried a lot of homemade italian dressing over the years and this is one of the better ones.
