Try this, and you'll never make boxed pudding again. I LOVE this recipe! This is no different from any other corn starch-thickened pudding recipe - but I love knowing how to do it in the microwave now. It's my go-to recipe for when I want dessert but didn't think to make one. I can whip this up and nuke it while I'm doing the dishes - by the time it cools, dinner is digested and I'm ready to serve dessert! I've also left out the cocoa and made vanilla pudding - which I can also use in any application that calls for pastry cream, should need be. Make it without cocoa and add shredded coconut, and you have coconut cream pie filling. Try it - you won't regret it!

Very quick and easy recipe. I added frozen raspberries to the bottom of each bowl, poured the hot pudding on top and topped with chipits.

1/2 cup of white sugar and 1/3rd cup of cocoa was way, way too sweet and chocolatey for my tastes. I reduced the amounts to 1/3rd and 1/4th respectively and it tastes nearly identical to Jell-O chocolate pudding cups. Fantastic recipe, thanks for sharing.

Turned out fantastic. I did it on the stove as I dont like cooking too much in microwaves. I just did everything in a heavy saucepan. I did however mix everything up in the pan first and then put it all in the blender to ensure all lumps were out but i guess you wisk them all out too. I will put in a homemade pie crust and then add some whipped cream. Yum.

It was easy and very good. I used skim milk and it turned out fine. I am a fan of pudding skin so the next time I will put my serving in a shallow bowl!
