HUGE hit at my cinco de mayo fest. I followed the recipe as is except for chili powder because I didnt have any on hand. Everyone loved the fish, but no one needed or wanted the sauce which was delicious but highly unnecessary. It is a strong sauce that competes with an already strong main dish.

OMG! This recipe is awesome! If you're thinking about leaving the dressing out: don't! The combination of the marinated fish and the dressing is just awesome. I cut the dressing in half, though, and I had more than enough.

Very good. Like some of the others, I baked the fish. For the dressing I used a 7 oz container of plain greek yogurt, 1 tbl. of the Adobo sauce, (because of other reviews that said the dressing was way too hot, can't imagine what it tastes like with 1/2 cup) juice of half a lime (probably 1 Tbl) and the other ingredients same measurements. I served it with bagged coleslaw and sliced avocados. Next time I will try it with grouper. A keeper.

I made this last night for my boyfriend who is a huge fan of fish tacos. He couldn't stop raving about the complexity of the flavors. We both decided that making the dressing a day or two before (but hold the lime zest until serving) would definitely add to the overall flavor. Absoutely excellent!

Loved this! The only thing I might do next time is add a little ranch powder to the dressing.

made this twice now, once marinating the fish without chopping into chunks first, the second time I chopped in into chunks and marinated it all day - definitely the way to go! much more favorable. I agree it is hard to cook the fish on the BBQ when it is in chunks but worth the work around, even if you do in the oven. also toned down the amount of chipotle in the the dressing the second time around, I put two whole chipotle's plus juice the first time to bring it up to 1/4 cup and it was way too much. Can't wait to try this with some homemade salsa or corn relish! Hubby even suggested we have one fish taco night a week now :)

This was awsome, but could be too spicy for some people.

We use the marinade only from this recipe, not the sour cream sauce. The marinade was divine! We use local rock cod fish, it was phenom!!!
