Just made this recipe exactly as it was written and they were delicious. Not one change and no time to leave ingredients out to get to room temp either. Everyone said "best pancakes ever" Thanks!

Just made these with some leftover buttermilk from another recipe - but this might motivate me to keep some buttermilk in the fridge more regularly! I completely forgot to add the melted butter, but I don't believe it suffered at all for that omission. I let the milks and eggs sit out for about 30 minutes to take the chill off, as another reviewer recommended. I made a half recipe, which made about a dozen small-ish pancakes that rose SO high!

We have tried a dozen different pancake recipes and I am happy to say "this is the one!" We have finally found a keeper. I will definitely make this again and again.

Easy and delicious as is. I made only 2/3 of the recipe and it still made well over 12 pancakes.

This was excellent. My son ate 8 of them. I would suggest using less salt, if you are using salted butter in the recipe. Other than that - awesome!

I cooked these today and they were delicious! My mother's dough is way to runny so they turn out very thin and huge oO! I also get nauseous after just two of them. But this! They were beautiful fluffy and the way I like them: adequate thick, small and round

we could NOT stop gushing and oooohing and ahhhhhing & sighing over these... these were out of this world. BOXED AUNT JEMIMA NO MORE! & of course, real non-corn-syrup maple syrup! i added ripe fresh blueberries. i CAN not wait to make this again! not tooo time consuming. obviously takes longer than boxed lazy kind but theyre worth it, trust me. that lost 15 mins of sleep: who cares! p.s i froze leftover buttermilk.. the only thing i can use it for is biscuits (im horrible at them btw) & pancakes.. so this vital ingredient will always be on hand!

Day one great, day 2 I added vanilla and lemon, amazing, day three I only had milk so I used that in place of buttermilk and it made equally good but thinner crepe like pancakes. I can finally stop looking for the perfect pancake recipe. These are fluffy with buttermilk, and have a suble crisp and are flavorful and not too cakey or sugary.

This is a very good basic pancake recipe. Like another reviewer, I didn't have buttermilk so used the vinegar in the milk trick. I also got a lot more pancakes out of it than the recipe states, I made it for 4 and got 7, but I made medium-sized pancakes. I think if you made the small size you could get 12. The recipe is simple, easy to remember and will be my regular recipe from now on.
