Can't believe how easy and how good this is. Substituted low sodium chicken broth for vegetable broth. Will make again.

I made it with homemade salsa which added to the flavor but because the salsa was very spicy and flavorful, 1 cup was too much and very overbearing. Had to add salt because it was bland without the salt. However, it was very easy to make and my boyfriend loved it! Thanks for sharing

Super quick, super easy and very good - we really enjoyed this. I decided to leave some of the black beans whole to have a bit more of a chunky texture!

I loved this. It was so easy and flavorful. The onions weren't mushy but crisp. It reminded me of a dish I grew up with in OK as a kid. Beans and cornbread. Since watching my diet and tryingn to be very selective on my choices, I found this to be a wonderful meal to have on hand when I don't eat the same things I fix my family. (like speg, meatloaf, etc) My husband liked it too. Excellent and I've already bought more ingredients to make more.

This was surprisingly good. I was nervous about it as I was cooking, but it turned out well and even my pickiest eaters ate it. I added garlic and onion powder and used cheddar cheese instead of sour cream. And I used chicken broth since that's what I had on hand. Quick and easy.

5 stars for quickness of recipe, taste and being healthy! Like others suggested, I added sauteed onion, carrot and celery, and some shredded leftover turkey for more substance. Sliced avocado on top elevates this to REALLY GOOD. My husband prefers chunky soup, so I did not puree. Delicious, thanks for sharing.

This was delicious. I didn't blend until smooth, because I still wanted some whole beans. I loved it, and so did my non vegetarian husband and kids. Served with quesadillas.

I have made this recipe many times, and I enjoy crumbling tortilla chips on top of the soup before I serve it.

Very good, incredibly simple to throw together for a quick dinner. I made a few changes: I sauteed a small white onion with a tablespoon of minced garlic in the pot with a smidge of olive oil before adding the bean mixture. I doubled the recipe and used 2 cans of beans for blending and left 2 cans whole... I like chunks! I used Tostitos salsa and didn't think it was overpowering, but definitely better the next day. Will make again and add some lightly seasoned ground turkey. Try it!

Amazing. I did the same as others and kept 1 can of black beans whole instead of blending it. I also didn't have veggie broth so used chicken broth. Such an amazing yummy soup!!! Made with quesadillas and dipped them in. Thanks Maryanne!
