This is the easiest recipe and comes out great. I will throw the ingredients into the machine a couple of hours before dinner and serve it hot. I brought some into work and told everyone how easy it was to make. After that a couple of the guys went out a bought a machine just to make this recipe.

Not only is this bread ridiculously easy to prepare, it is also really tasty! I didn't change a single thing, made it exactly as the recipe stated. I've made this bread several times and it always turns out wonderful!

Best recipe I've tried. Turned out perfectly. Added extra half tsp. salt and 2 tblsp gluten. Did have to add extra half cup water to machine while kneading.

I initially tried a different white bread recipe and that failed horribly so I decided to try this one. My bread came out perfectly. I took the recommendation of adding 1/2 tsp more salt and also added 1Tbsp of wheat gluten. The bread rose beautifully with a nice crust and very soft inside. I would use it for making sandwiches and to serve with dinner.

Just what I was looking for. I found if I add about 1/8 extra water plus 2 tsp of gluten to the flour it comes out perfect each and every time. I only use the bread machine to make the dough then put in pan, let rise for an hour or so then bake at 350 for 30-35 min. perfect every time Did a double batch, works fine but overflowed in my 3lb bread maker.

With so many positive reviews, you'd think that there was something very special about this simple recipe...well, there is. It is the best loaf that ever came out of my bread machine. I followed the recipe, but made the following changes: Swap out 2/3 of the white flour for local milled whole wheat flour, and used 1 1/4 tsp of sea salt instead of the 1 tsp of table salt. I used a Panasonic bread machine on the XL setting, rapid bake, with the 'light' crust setting. It took about 1:45 mins to base and the bread came out so perfect that it's difficult to describe just how good it was. 5 mins out of the bread machine I cut several THICK slices (difficult to cut because it is such an airy loaf), covered them with fresh butter and raw honey and delivered them around the house to my family. There was much rejoicing.
