This was very good, but I gave 4 stars because I like my banana bread more dense. This had a cake like texture, and I prefer it to be more moist and dense. I even toasted the slices, and spread on some butter, and MMMMMM that was very tasty!!!!!

I was disappointed on this recipe. I thought the bread would be really moist . It was dry and hard on the outside. My kids where not to pleased with this recipe. I will try it again maybe I made a mistake somewhere, I hope.

this bread turned out way too dense, and never cooked through the middle.

this is a great basic recipe.just add your favorite spices(nutmeg,cinnamin..etc.)some vanilla to the wet mix.i also add a few fruit cups of pears to the mix(maybe 4 oz}.that adds sweetness and moisture.i drain the liquid from the cups.i like to use ripened not over ripened bananas...i believe they have a more banana taste.and after 30 mins i brush a brown sugar vanilla and water mixture on top.i also doubled the recipe and it held up fine.took 75 mins to bake.nuts are optional obviously.
