I have made this about 20 times! Such a sweet, moist bread. Keeps for about a week.

This was a huge success even though I messed it up! I over-kneaded it so it was on the gummy side and didn't rise well. The taste made up for it, though!

Very easy bread recipe. I make bread all the time for my six young children, and this is always my base recipe. Usually I reduce the sugar to 1/4 cup unless making a sweet bread (like cinnamon swirl). This is truly awesome bread. A tip to make it stay softer longer is to add 2 TSBP of dry potato flakes to the dough; and lightly butter the top of the bread when you pull it out of the oven for a silky crust.

This bread is wonderful, husband will no longer eat bought bread! Have made 3 times and it was perfect every time. Great texture. Did decrease salt to 1/4 teaspoon, but this is because we are on a low salt diet. Makes fantastic sandwiches, French toast and regular toast. Cannot go wrong with this wonderful recipe - Thanks for posting.

This recipe has been a big hit every time I have made it. It is especially tasty coming straight out of the oven when it is warm and moist. I suggest leaving it in the oven for 35-40 minutes, not 30. This might just be personal preference, but I find that taking it out at 30 minutes, as suggested in the recipe, was not enough. HAVE GREAT YEAST... and if you don't, dissolve it in slightly warmer water, as well as let it rise longer and in a warm, dark place. This bread is very sweet, which works for my taste buds but not my waistline! It is quite dense, but nonetheless: amazing. It is great if you are on a budget as well, and can be done in using one bowl and a 9x5 inch pan. Yay for less dishes! I did not have to knead it on the surface, finding it easier (and a lot less messy) to knead in the bowl. It is extremely versatile: a great white bread base.

This is an incredibly simple bread to make. It is a dense bread and maybe next time I will try to reduce the sugar that others recommended. It is certainly a keeper!!!

I loved this cake. Sweet so no need for jam or margarine or butter to eat it with but it was ready in half the oven time recommended (it took 15min)I used half the mix to make donuts fried at very low heat to get cooked all the way. Amazing
