"Farro is a delicious alternative to rice or pasta in this Tuscan-inspired soup, made with chicken broth, pancetta and tomatoes, and seasoned with garlic, basil and thyme. It's easy to make and it's absolutely delicious!"

1 1/8 cups
uncooked whole cereal farro grain or pearl barley
pancetta or deli ham, chopped
dried thyme leaves, crushed
Swanson® Chicken Broth (Regular, Natural Goodness™ or Certified Organic)
plum tomatoes, chopped
chopped fresh basil leaves
ground black pepper
This was pretty good. The soup was light but filling and delicious. It's a Swansons recipe but I always make chicken broth with water and chicken bouillon. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly. I cooked the pancetta in a 2nd pan to cut down on the cooking time. I would make this again.
