It was a good base, but I found I had to add alot more seasoning. I added fresh basil, fresh parsley and some herbes de Provence, which helped. I left out the sugar. The parmesean is a must!

My entire family and ALL my friends love this soup. I prepare it quite often, especially during these cold winter months...a great comfort food. FIVE STARS indeed!
