Made this w/o the chili powder as I was using it to top salted caramel cupcakes and have a few friends that candle the heat. either way- this was delicious! Just the right mix of sweet/salty. Perfect on top of a sweet cupcake and could this being incredibly good crumbled up on some deviled eggs.

This is a 5 star recipe. "Excellent!" The receipe is perfect as written and of course the baking time just like any other piece of bacon depends on oven, thickness of bacon, and preference. This is a must try recipe that everyone should check out at least once (once a week in my house). I doubt there will be any left overs, but if so, it reheats in the microwave in about 15 seconds the next day and is just as great.

something original that stretches a pound of bacon at brunch! everyone loves it because it's original and the flavor is great with the kick of heat but it's got body so nobody eats five pieces of wimpy boring flat bacon. really fabulous. making it again for brunch again today. thank you for sharing!
