I use this recipe over and over-it is one of my "go to" dinners. I have changed a few things along the way to suit my family's preferences. First,I cook the chicken only with garlic powder, powdered hickory seasoning and salt. When the chicken is done (4 hours on high for a BIG batch (I made 7 lbs this time), I use a baster to remove 2/3 of the chicken broth/juice,and set it aside. I then add barbecue sauce, and the recommended amount of vinegar and Worcestershire sauce to taste, but I skip the sugar because I don't like it sweet. Finally, I add back some of the broth, but not too much or it gets watery. What a great, easy dinner for company too.Serve with coleslaw-mandatory!
