Perfect! I didn't have any Italian dressing so I made my own using olive oil, vinegar and Italian spices. I cut the recipe in half since it was only my boyfriend and I and cooked it on the stove top in a large sautee pan on low for 1 1/2 hours. I also made some baked sweet potatoes on the side. Great comfort food without the guilt! I will definitely do this again.

Made this for lunch today. Followed the recipe, except thawed the chicken a little bit before putting in the crockpot. I also shredded the chicken when done and let it continue to cook for about an hour. We put the chicken mixture on top of baked potatoes...yum! Will make this again. So easy too!

I just made this recipe for the first time and...OMG!!! I made the recipe exactly as stated, but took other reviewer's suggestions and used Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce, added half an onion and a little minced garlic. I also shredded it once it was done, and put it back in to let it absorb some of the juices. I put it on a (light white) hamburger roll w/ red onion, pickles, and served it w/ potato salad and corn on the cob! Believe me when I say "this is heaven in a crock pot"!

I love this recipe! It couldn't be more simple. I needed a meal to feed a crown of out-of-town guests. I used 6 large fresh chicken breasts (about 3 lbs.) and cooked it on low for 6 hours. I then shredded the chicken with a fork (it was very tender). I did not need to thicken this sauce. All the sauce absorbed into the shredded chicken. I used Sweet Baby Rays Barbeque Sauce (the only one I use) and Kraft Robusto Italian Dressing. I served it on large rolls. We had enough for days. I even froze some of it. Thanks for the recipe!

This recipie is one of the TASTIEST and EASIEST I have ever found on here!!!! The only difference I do is serve it on warm sesame buns with the same bbq sauce that I use in the cooking sauce!! My very pickey Husband and 2 young children gobbled it up.

this was great... my husband i loved that we could just throw it in the crock pot and continue on then a few hours later have a great tasting, warm and hearty dinner, not a boxed or frozen dinner like usual... and being newly married im not use to cooking for two, or cooking at all (we love them as sandwiches on toasted rolls)

This was fantastic! I did follow some of the recommendations of the other reviewers. I cooked the chicken in chicken stock, drained it and then added the sauce ingredients and cooked for another hour or so. It was awesome! We had it on potatoes the first night. The next day we had sandwiches and the following evening I put it on pizza! This is a keeper! Can't wait to make it for the in-laws! You heard me right, this recipe is in-law "worthy"!

So tasty!!!! I used another's suggestion and made sure that I used a BBQ sauce without vinegar. I actually used Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce. I put the finished product on a good roll with caramelized red onions and American cheese (I know, I know... but it really melted and combined well with the chicken!)

My family loved this recipe. I had to make my own BBQ sauce and Italian dressing from scratch as I had neither on hand. The BBQ sauce was a simple ketchup based recipe from this website and the Italian dressing was a mixture of olive oil, vinegar and herbs. I can't wait to try it again with a different BBQ sauce.

Very good and tasty recipe. We ate it on rolls and then later made a pizza with it. Next time, I'll lessen the cooking time and reduce the amount of brown sugar. My chicken was a bit overcooked, but there was enough sauce that it wasn't dry. I'll make it again with a few changes.
