Best recipe! Everyone at Thanksgiving was raving about it and liked it better than anything else. I baked the potatoes instead of boiling.

I made this for Thanksgiving and an early Christmas celebration. Everyone on both sides of the family loved it. I doubled the recipe. I used 5 sweet potatoes and roasted them in the oven. I definitely think that brings out their full flavor. I used evaporated milk like another reviewer suggested. This was super easy to make and so delicious.

Made this for Thanksgiving dinner and it was a big hit. Husband even asked if he had to wait a whole year to have this again. I will for sure be making this again. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Loved it! My husband also liked it and is NOT a sweet potato fan. I used 1/2 brown 1/2 white sugar in the casserole and used Cream of Coconut since I was out of milk and reduced the amount a bit. Also reduced the butter a bit. Awesome!

Super side dish and very easy. My kids have requested that it be added to the side dish list for everyday dinners.

I loved this, first time to make it. I will be making this recipe for now on. One thing I did was sprinkle cinnamon on top before baking and that was so good. Thanks for the recipe!

This was great. I had made Sweet Potato Crisp from this site last year for turkey day and it was too sweet. I doubled the recipe and added some cinnamon and nutmeg. Everyone agreed it was the best ever.

Amazing! Will definitely make this again for the holidays. I added a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg and used a little almond extract since my vanilla ran out on me. Was this hit of Thanksgiving for sure!!!

Definitely had to double the vanilla and the topping mix, but other than that... WONDERFUL! The brown sugar topping was a huge hit, it reheated beautifully, and I soooo prefer it to it's marshmallow topped counterpart!

Very tasty, especially the topping. Per others suggestions I baked the potatoes (which compliments their sweetness) in foil in the oven for 1.5 hrs at 325 degrees along side my turkey. Then I mashed, mixed with the other ingredients, and blended with my hand mixer to make them ultra smooth. The only change I made was to use only 1 egg instead of 2. Awesome - will make again.

This was excellent. I halved the recipe and made two batches, one with the pecan topping (my favorite) and one with marshmallows for my husband, who insisted that it wasn't thanksgiving without the marshmallows. I will definitely make this again next year.

I used this for an expat Thanksgiving dinner in Budapest and it was a hit! I couldn't find pecans but used walnuts on top of half. Made the potato mixture ahead of time and refrigerated - added the crumble mixture just before baking. One friend said I made her grandma's casserole look bad! Thanks for a great, easy recipe that everyone loves!

Oh my gosh was this good. This is the first time that I have made sweet potato casserole for a Holiday and it was a hit. My niece took the rest home. I didn't change a thing. I will definitely be making for my Dad at Christmas.

Marvelous! Recipe can be customized with some marshmallows on top or a little bit of rum extract (1 tsp). But, it is delicious just the way it is!

I made this tonight to rave reviews. A few variations, I baked the sweet potatoes and added a banana during baking as suggested by another reviewer. I omitted the sugar in the potato mash as I had added the sweetness of the banana. I also used about an 1/8 c up heavy cream instead of milk. 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1 of nutmeg. I made the topping as written. I'm not a big fan of sweet potato casserole but this turned out terrific!
