This is a wonder recipe! It was the most tender chicken that I have ever had. Alternating the chicken, the red pepper and the onion on the skewer really made the flavors of everything come out really well. I didn't marinate the ingredients for 2 hours but just over an hour and it still turned out fantastic. Great healthy grilling food!

I have to start this review by saying that my husband and children are SICK OF CHICKEN. I admit, we eat it alot--but in my opinion, it is economical, versatile and healthy! Having said all of this, I planned our 4th of July BBQ and decided to make these kabobs. I marinated them for 24 hours. One word for these--EXCELLENT!!!! My hubby, children and our guests all raved about them and gobbled them up! I used 8 large chicken breasts, which according to the package came out to be about 6 lbs. of chicken. I doubled the marinade. I did not baste them while I was cooking them. They had a wonderful flavor and a sweet undertone from the honey! I did add some grated fresh gingerroot. My husband, the anti-chicken man, said they were GREAT! I did my veggies on the side in a grill basket. I marinated them in a separate bowl. A REAL KEEPER!!!!! Thanks!

I made this for our 4th of July barbeque, and it was great! I marinated it for a full 24 hours, and the chicken was perfectly tender and juicy. I will definitely cook these again!

This recipe is so deceptively simple but so incredibly tasty. The only change I made was to add about a tsp of fresh grated ginger to the marinade. Used red onion, red bell pepper and zucchini as they all cook at about the same rate as the chicken. The key to this recipe is cooking the skewers at a moderate temperature so the sugars in the marinade don't burn and the chicken doesn't overcook before the veggies are done. (if you're going to put the veggies and chicken on the same skewers like I did.) Great recipe - this will be a regular at my place.

Easy to make! I added garlic and a bit if dry herbs to the mixture. Also, I ran out of honey and substituted it with Maple syrup. Marinated overnight... delicious! Thanks for the recipe.

Everyone raved over this chicken. I did the same as other reviewers and put my meat and veggies on different skewers. My neice even commented that it tasted like the chicken she gets at the Japanese Steak Houses.

I followed this recipe to a tee and was extremely pleased with the results. The marinade is not too over powering. As another reviewer stated, I think this would make a great stir fry sauce as well. Will definitely make again, and will try using with shrimp or pork.

This was delicious! I, like many other reviewers, grilled the chicken and veggies on separate skewers. I also made a fresh batch of the marinade as a sauce and added a bit of cornstarch to thicken a bit. I did reduce the soy sauce content and replaced the remainder with water so the sauce to pour over wouldn't be too salty, but I used the marinade without reducing the soy sauce content. It turned out perfect. I served it over Brazilian White Rice (recipe also on this site) and poured some of the sauce over the kebabs as well for extra flavour. This was so good that I wanted to eat it all on it's own! Everything really absorbed the flavours nicely. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Love this recipe! Followed as written, except added a 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes to the marinade and then skewered unmarinated fresh pineapple chunks between the chicken chunks instead of veggies. Grilled over high heat on a gas grill and it was quick and perfectly done. Everyone loved it!! Would definitely recommend!!

Excellent recipe! I only used the red bell peppers with the chicken on the kabobs and added some minced garlic and onion powder to the marinade. I cooked them on my George Foreman and the were wonderful! Very authentic tasting.

This has become a staple recipe in our household. I use it on both chicken and beef kabobs. I've made it so many times that it has become a regular request for bbq's!! I always double the marinade and I marinade meat & veggies together overnight or at least 3-4 hours. The longer you let the meat soak up those flavors the better! I prefer to marinade all my meat/veggies together & skewer together. Awesome recipe, thank you!!

This was delicious! I marinated chicken breasts in the mixture (I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil)and just threw the whole breasts on the grill. I didn't baste or anything. The marinade seemed to lock in the juices and the end result was juicy, flavorful chicken breasts. Thanks, Ann Marie, for sharing a great recipe which my family will enjoy for many meals to come!
