Bacon adds flavor to this potato salad with a vinegar-based dressing. This is my mother's recipe. Everyone, German or not, loves it. It is easy to double the recipe as well. I often bring it to potlucks, and we also have it at home on special occasions. There are usually no leftovers, but if there are, they don't last long!

This is old fashioned potato salad but with a delightful twist. There's lots and lots of tiny shrimp accompanying the potatoes, and when you're not expecting them, they're a wonderful taste sensation. This pleasing salad serves twelve.

A very lemony dressing is poured over the still warm potatoes, and then green onions, parsley, and celery are mixed in. Chill before serving.

This is my potato salad I have created for many family gatherings. The olives and dill relish give it a twist from the typical bland salad. Everyone always brags on me about it. Enjoy!

This potato salad is great for those who like a lot of eggs in their salad. It comes out great at every event I bring it to.

We love sweet potatoes and they are terrific when combined with plain white ones, especially in an old fashioned potato salad. This one has mayonnaise, a bit of mustard, celery, hard-boiled eggs, and a smidgen of chopped onion.

This is the basic recipe my gram used to use to make her potato salad. It sounds odd, but the anise is really good in this dish.

Part of the goodness of these fork-smashed potatoes is their simplicity. Warm potatoes get the fork treatment, as they're smashed up with eggs, dill pickles, mayo, and salt.
