This cool, refreshing blend of plain yogurt, chopped cucumber, dill, and garlic is a perfect accompaniment to lamb or rice, or both! Mint may be used in place of the dill.

Delicious, creamy dressing with just a bit of spice.

Mint Sauce

I grew up with this in the UK, and this is how everyone made it. I would be surprised if any pub had additional ingredients. Mint has a sweetness of its own, but a little sugar would be okay, if the diner had a desire for extra sweetness. This sauce is traditionally served with lamb.

A creamy garlic sauce and a medley of vegetables served over egg noodles make a superb one dish meal. Of course if you were looking for something a little more elaborate, a Greek salad, thick slabs of feta cheese, and warm pita bread are wonderful accompaniments.

Easy Greek Yogurt Cucumber Sauce

This concoction is a result of my experimental efforts in trying to copy a favorite Greek restaurant's tzatziki sauce. Serve with gyros, pita bread, chips, or raw veggies.

Mash cloves of garlic into a paste and add to plain yogurt to make a tart and pungent pasta sauce. Toss with warm buttery noodles and garnish with parsley. Toasted pine nuts sprinkled over the top make this dish a special treat.
