I didn't have crackers so I used butter pretzels and bread crumbs. It made a slightly crunchy crust, which my husband and I both loved.

Excellent casserole! I sauteed the squash and onions in the 1/4 cup butter instead of addiing it later. Followed the rest of the recipe and amounts as written. This will stay on my recipe list!

Great squash recipe for a very picky household. I cant say they dove in and asked for seconds but allmy very picky squash hating boys ate it and said it was good. I made a half recipe and baked it as directed in a 8" square pan - perfect. Also topped with French fried onions to entice my boys - worked well. I'll definitely make this recipe whe the next batch of garden squash is ready.

I really liked this but my husband said that it tasted too much like Zuchini. Men!!!! I will probably make this again in the future.

Okay, I'm new to this but tried this last night and both of us thought it was great!!!. I think that the one thing I will do different is not saute the squash before hand but will be making this again.

This was delish! The recipe didn't say whether to peel squash, so I didn't and it was fine. Very quick to make & very easy to prepare.

OMG!!!! This was an amazing dinner! Even my children loved it! I did alter it like a couple of previous raters wrote by adding lump crab and 1/2 part zucchini 3/4 part summer squash. I used red onion for the onion and wheat Ritz crackers for the crackers and added some Emeril Essence, Seasoning salt and garlic powder to taste. AMAZING!!! I will make this again, and again and again!
