Very Good! I made this with a package of saltines - as I did not have the crackers. I used green zucchini instead of yellow. I left out the butter - It didn't need the extra fat. I added some Italian seasoning and McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning to it. Very good!

Very yummy! Great when needing to feed a crowd. I added a bit more pepper and salt to make the squash less bland. Using Ritz crackers worked out well!

This was wonderful! Made it for Thanksgiving and it was a big hit!! I used sharp cheddar cheese and sauteed the squash and onions in butter!

I made this for Thanksgiving and got a lot of request for the recipe. It was good. My only complaint is that it was a little soggy for my taste.

I made this recipe for Thanksgiving and it was the star of the buffet. My mother-in-law is the QUEEN of cooking and she wanted this recipe. She doesn't even like squash but now she is a big fan. She was bragging to the ladies at church about it and now they are all asking for the recipe.

Very, very good. the only thing I would do a little differently is use a little less butter next time. Other than that, it was absolutely delicious.

The eggs absolutely ruined this. This isn't a casserole; it's a glorified soufflé.

This was excellent. I brought it to my family's Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. I did saute the squash with the onions & some garlic in butter instead of boiling it. I also used zucchini and yellow squash for nice color. Besides that, I followed the recipe. Really, it was delish!!!

I made this for the first time 2 years ago. It has now become "my" classic dish for every holiday. My mother-in-law asks for this dish every time we get together and even gets giddy about it. Fantastic recipe!

This was wonderful. This is my first time trying to cook squash and this will now be my only recipe used for when I do it in the future. My husband loved this and said that it tasted better than he can remember from his families cooking.

We love this casserole. I used a little more squash, seasoned with basil, pepper and garlic and added some pepperoni, which added some great flavors. So goooood.

I would not consider this a casserole but a gratin, as it turned out a lot drier than a casserole. I think if I had eaten the first mouthful blind folded I would have guessed that this was macaroni and cheese instead of squash casserole. To be fair I did take a couple shortcuts which could have contributed to a drier texture; instead of boiling squash in water I used less water and sort of steamed it, so it was still somewhat firm but cooked through as I was afraid it would be too soggy. I only had one egg so to compensate I added a little extra milk. Also, I added some extra cheese. Even so, this was a pretty dry casserole. I really liked this but I think I was expecting something with more white sauce like my mother used to make. However, my husband, who usually hates squash, liked this dish because it is less heavy than a regular casserole and said he'd eat it again. So, I am only giving 4 stars because the name is a bit misleading, though I think the tatse for what it is a 5-star dish!
