This recipe came out a little dry for me. I have very little baking experience and don't even know what to sugggest to change it..more milk? For the mixing the sugar and shortening (I did half butter and half shortening) part, I mixed them for a looong time and they never did get 'light and fluffy'. Apparently there's a trick for that, but I don't know it. Maybe that was the problem.

Cake was a bit dry... you need a really good frosting to go with it! Not bad, but I probably won't keep the recipe.
