Outstanding! I didn't make any changes to the recipe..it is great just as written. Kept close eye on the meat temp while cooking, and the roast turned out tender and juicy. Will definitely make this again.

I substituted an envelope of french onion soup mix and water instead of beef broth and chopped onion. I marinated it over night and put the roast and the marinade in the crockpot, on low, and cooked all day (9 hours). It was a little too salty for my taste, but I never salt anything...however my husband loved it!!!It came out tender, moist and delicious. Really flavorful!!! Will absolutely make this again....super easy, very quick to throw together and OH SO TASTY!!!

GREAT!!! added garlic and mushrooms but def would use this on maybe a ribeye roast as the marinade is soooo good!

I agree with another reviewer: I wouldn't waste this wonderful marinade on a sirloin roast. I'd use it for a better and smaller cut of meat. It honestly just tasted like regular pot roast to me - and I even marinated it for almost two whole days hoping the flavors would penetrate more. Maybe it's because I made it in the crock pot instead of the oven? I didn't think it would make too much of a difference...oh well.

This was very good! I put mine in the crock pot, and it turned out very tender and moist. The gravy made with the all the drippings and marinade was very tasty!

This is delicious!! I have never done beef roasts very well. They always end up dry and flavorless. That is not the case with this one! I used a Beef round tip roast. I put it in the marinade about 9 pm the night before, and put it in a crock pot at 10 am and let it cook on low until 730, so 9-1/2 hours! It was so full of flavor and moist and the leftover "gravy" was really good too! This is definitely a keeper! Oh, and I used tamari (soy sauce).

Just made this yesterday and it came out excellent. I had a roast from the freezer so I wanted to make sure I added some flavor before roasting. I wondered whether the soy sauce would give it a teriyaki flavor that would be more suited to rice than potatoes. That wasn't the case, the marinade enhances the flavor of the beef and the drippings made for a flavorful gravy. Will use again and try this on grilled steak tips.

This roast came out excellent, marinated for 30 hours turning occasionally. Cooked to med. rare and sliced very thin. Topped with "horseradish sauce" by "Carol46" on this sight. Wow this normally tough piece of meat was tender and tasty!
