I only gave the recipe 4 stars because the first time I made the scones I followed the recipe to the 'T.' They had a bitter aftertaste! After research, I made the scones a second time using only 2 teaspoons of baking powder and they are much better! I also used blueberries for the fruit and sprinkled sugar on the tops after the egg wash. Be sure you put the fruit in the flour mixture BEFORE you put the liquid in. I will definitely make these again.

These are so good! I can't stop eating them! I replaced the currants with choco chips with a vanilla glaze and OMG

My new addiction!! I was crazy about these! I added blueberries unstead of currants or raisins (I didn't have either) and I also had to throw in some white chocolate chips and they were just amazing!!

Way too fluffy for a scone - I reduced the baking powder from 4 tsps to 3 tsps to give the scones a "denser" feel and texture. Much better this way!

These scones are the bomb! I have never made scones untill now. I have made these many times, different ways. This time I mixed fresh blueberries and cinnamon chips in! I had never used the chips before, OH YEAH! Also freeze and grate the butter. Thanks for great recipe

Turned out really great! I had to substitute almond milk for regular, and greek yogurt for the sour cream (that's what I had on hand) but still lovely.

I cut them into triangles and used dried cranberries as the mix-in. They are very good, just not yet the best. Nothing wrong with them, but not ultimate. They come out soft, but NOT melt in your mouth, which is what i was looking for. My kids really loved them! Thanks for sharing!
