Made this up last night and it tasted delicious!! If you add the extra ingredients from www.MomsFreeGroceries.net it will give it ALOT of extra flavor and make it taste better!! Def have to add this to my weekly cook book!!

Pretty good, but not my favorite potato salad. I followed the recipe exactly as written and while it tasted OK, it wasn't what I was looking for. It seemed to need salt, sweet pepper relish, paprika... just not what I'm used to. Thx!

I followed the recipe exactly. I used yukon gold potatoes and made a double batch. The sauce was just way too tangy for me. I think it is personal preference but I just prefer more of a mayonnaise flavor and I think the vinegar/butter just overwhelmed it. Sorry!

OMG! This is by far the best potato salad I have ever made/eaten! I doubled the dressing, and used a 5 pound bag of Russett potatoes. I had about 1 Cup of dressing left over. THE BEST! Thanks so much for sharing!

This potato salad is awesome! It is a bit more labor intensive than just throwing together ingredients in a bowl but it is SO worth it. It's better than many restaurants. I made it without the eggs and it was great-- a little sweet, tangy, and very creamy! I salted it after all ingredients were mixed and it only needed a little salt. Thanks, Kaye Lynn!

UPDATE: MY IN-LAWS LOVED THIS! MY FATHER-IN-LAW (WHO DOES NOT CARE FOR HARD-BOILED EGGS) EVEN LIKED THIS. I WAS TOLD TO ALWAYS GIVE THEM LEFTOVERS - THEY LIKED THIS THAT MUCH! :) Yum! Sooooo good!!! This tastes EXACTLY like my local grocer's potato salad! Since this makes a TON, I am sharing lefotvers with my parents and in-laws. :) Other than adding ~ 1/2 c. chopped dill pickles (I LOVE my potato salad with pickles in it, but felt sweet gherkins would clash with the dressing) and a t of celery seed (as suggested by the recipe submitter) and doubling the amount of cornstarch called for, I made no major changes. The dressing didn't even take the full 10 minutes to thicken. Doubling up on the cornstarch definitely helped. NOTE: I used equal amounts of apple / distilled white vinegar since Kaye did not specify what type to use. I also chose red potatoes over the Russset / baking variety this time (I usually prefer the latter, but because Kaye specifically suggested using reds, I gave them a try). I have no complaints. This turned out perfectly and paired nicely with my BBQ chicken sandwiches! Thanks SO much for sharing your secret recipe, Kaye! :-)

I've never liked a potato salad, and this one is amazing. After reading reviews, I changed the following: 2 tsp cornstarch, added the tsp celery seed, substituted green onions for regular, and added 1/2 cup diced dill pickle. Also, I chopped everything rather small. Definitely will be making this over and over again.
