No one raved, no one said it must be made again -- really, no one commented at all. The hubby, who loves meat sauce, didn't say a thing, that tells me all I need to know... Oh well...

I made this for my wife last night and ordinarily she doesn't finish what's on her plate. She ate it all and said that we could definitely make this again.

my family LOVED this sauce. This is definitely my go-to recipe for spaghetti sauce...I will not go back to a jar sauce again. I have made this in bulk and frozen it in ziplock bags too. It was great to have it right on hand when I needed to whip up a quick meal.

This sauce is great on spaghetti. I used (2) 8 oz cans of tomato sauce instead of the 6.5 oz cans and the recipe still turned very flavorful. This one is a keeper!

The best meat pasta sauce I've found. I add 3 tsp of balsamic vinegar to the sauce.

What I could spoon off the counter was delish. Unfortunatly, I decided to throw mine in the blender for a smoother texture and the bottom of the blender fell off, ugh. I am going to make this again tomorrow night so we don't have to taste test it off the counter anymore =)

Fantastic. Loved it!! I can't eat sauce from a jar because of the sodium so I made it with all "no salt added tomato" products and it was great. I used someone else's idea and put it in the crock pot. so easy

I love a thick sauce so this was perfect for my family. I made meatballs and used the sliced sweet sausage. Inexpensive as compared to a good jar sauce and so much better. Super easy too!

This recipe has all the essentials to please the senses. I personally like to add a third cup of jelly - natural sugar because I like my sauce sweeter. Aside from that, I have now made this sauce over thirty times and it has always turned out just as perfecct as the first time.....You won't regret it, and you won't forget it, trust me.

Delicious! I was a bit timid about adding fennel seeds thinking the kids would complain, so I used half the amount called for. I used a full pound of ground beef and garlic and cheese italian sausage. It received nothing but compliments. Will definitely use again.

AWESOME SAUCE!!! I've been making the lasagna and had used this as just a sauce before noticing this recipe... it is better than any restaurant and very easy to make! Will be making and eating this forever!!!! Thanks John... I hope to see more recipes from you:) I did forget one thing-I use beef stock instead of water. It gives it just a little more flavor. Also very good with crushed red pepper and mushrooms!

This is really very good. We are not huge sausage lovers but it does add a wonderful flavor. I use half sausage and half ground beef. Thanks for a great and simple recipe!

A nice sauce but certainly not the best - we all agreed our other sauce is better. We did enjoy it tho. I made it exact but did add some fresh baby portabellas.
