yes, a great lasagna recipe. I'm not a great cook, but love to eat. This was easy enough for me to make.

my whole family complained it tasted pasty. I followed the recipe, but they asked not to make it again.

Tried this and it's great! Didn't use as much sugar or salt. I'm allergic to onions and was happy it was as good without them! This will be my go to recipe!

I have not yet tried this recipe, but would LOVE to. I thought my second wife made best Lasagna but this recipe sounds EXCELLENT! But the ONE MOST IMPORTANT THING I HAVE LEARNED IN MY 45+ years of cooking is to NOT BE OFFENDED if someone is not terribly enthusiastic about my "concoctions" because everybody's taste is different!! For example, a delicacy here in the Philippines is a partially boiled egg that has a baby chicken in the shell. I have often said I will taste anything once, but this is something I just CANNOT force myself to try, but most of my neighbors love them, specially when drinks are served. But to get back to this lasagna recipe, First, I would eliminate the salt. I love SPICY Italian sausage and would substitute for the sweet. Onions are also a big part of my flavorings so I would at least double the amount plus add both garlic and onion powders as well as adding a little oregano oregano (what is Italian food without oregano?). I would also eliminate the ricotta and double the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. But, AGAIN, this is to reflect MY tastes, not to imply there is something WRONG with the recipe!

I made this for my husband first--my first effort at lasagna since I now have time to cook. The fabulousness of this lasagna really boosted my confidence to continue cooking. I now make the sauce in double batches. I've also made the lasagna for a party and everyone raved about it. Thanks @johnchandler for sharing. Smiles all 'round!

Delicious! I've made this twice and both times the results were Amazing! I must admit, the family at my local butcher shop strongly recommended that I replace the ground beef with their mix of lean ground beef, veal and pork, so that's what I did. I was inspired by some of the reviews and skipped the salt in the sauce, used fresh basil and red wine instead of water. I also added and nutmeg in the ricotta mixture. I also tried the noodle soaking trick (30 minutes in hot tap water instead of boiling them) and it turned out perfectly!! Thank you!!

I have made this for a few years now. I follow it as written except I always use fresh basil and my own canned tomatoes. I love it and it freezes well.
