I made this recipe for our late christmas dinner. I didn't alter anything other than using Edam instead of swiss. The results were good, if a bit bland. I like that the dressing isn't vineagery.

This was an awesome salad. I did read some of the reviews before and I used slivered almonds instead of cashews. I used two pears and two apples, which I cut up a few hours ahead and tossed with some of the dressing. They didn't yellow and soaked up some of the flavor. I also used Feta cheese. It was a huge hit!

Made this dressing and salad the other night....outstanding. Whole family loved it. 16 year old son said, "Apples in salad???" and proceeded to demolish his portion and another. Trying it tonight for guests with a crumbled Stilson cheese with apples and pears I picked up at Costco. Followed directions exactly as stated...a big hit. Thanks

Although I just use the salad dressing and use different salad ideas it is a great dressing... I usually add less sugar to the recipe just to my taste but other than that it is wonderful!

I followed the recipe exactly as written and it was very good, but I think it could be made better with the addition of some tangy red or green onion. The dressing made much more than we needed, so I'm making the salad again tonight!

This was so YUMMY.. I made this for Christmas dinner and the salad ended up being the fave dish.. imagine that. My husband is not big on salad but I made him try it and he absolutely loved it!

This salad was just OK - I didn't like the way the dressing tasted at all - much too sweet. I used a poppyseed dressing from Trader Joe's that was great. Also didn't think the Swiss cheese added much flavor.

the salad dressing is awesome! i used fresh meyer lemons picked from the tree and followed recipe exactly. I will make this many times. My guests all went back for seconds.
