This is my go-to dressing recipe for salads with any fruit in them. It is PHENOMENAL. It meshes well with both winter and summer ingredients.

This salad is delicious and the flavors of the fruit, cheese, and nuts combine beautifully. I added shredded chicken to make it a main dish rather than just a side dish. This salad looks very elegant as well and this is something I would serve for a dinner gathering or to bring to a summer picnic. However, I would add the cheese just before serving, as I think it would get too soggy if it sat in the salad for too long.

I made this salad as a side dish for my son's birthday party this weekend and it was a big hit. I substituted bleu cheese for the swiss cheese and served it on the side. It was so good I barely got any and had to tell my brother to step away from the salad so I could try some! (He had fixed himself a GIANT plate of it) Definitely a winner!

This is such a delicious salad. I replaced the swiss cheese with feta because that's what I had and it was a hit! I also used Splenda in the dressing, with half the oil and it turned out great. Definitely a keeper.

We really liked this. Not my favorite, but I'll probably make it again. I pretty much followed the recipe, but I left out the minced onion (preference) and didn't use the whole dressing amount.

This was an awesome salad. I did read some of the reviews before and I used slivered almonds instead of cashews. I used two pears and two apples, which I cut up a few hours ahead and tossed with some of the dressing. They didn't yellow and soaked up some of the flavor. I also used Feta cheese. It was a huge hit!

I made this recipe for our late christmas dinner. I didn't alter anything other than using Edam instead of swiss. The results were good, if a bit bland. I like that the dressing isn't vineagery.

Made this dressing and salad the other night....outstanding. Whole family loved it. 16 year old son said, "Apples in salad???" and proceeded to demolish his portion and another. Trying it tonight for guests with a crumbled Stilson cheese with apples and pears I picked up at Costco. Followed directions exactly as stated...a big hit. Thanks
