I agree. The mayo mixture made it WAY too greasy. Instead of 2 cups, I will use 1 next time. Besides that, it would have been fine.

We did not care for this recipe at all. We liked the concept of mixing wild rice with chopped broccoli and diced ham, but the cream mixture was too much, and we even modified the original recipe based on other reviewers' feedback. The cream mixture and melted cheddar drowned out the light nutty flavor of the wild rice. We might try this again sans cream and cheese.

This is one of my husband's favorite meals. We usually add cauliflower as well. Otherwise I follow the recipe, and it's always turned out great.

This was a great way to use up leftover ham. I used a package of Rice a Roni, broccoli flavor, and it turned out fine. I also cute the mayo back to 2/3 c. per others' suggestions, substituting 1/3 c. sour cream for the remaining mayo, and I still thought it was too heavy on the mayo flavor. Next time I would do maybe 1/3 c. mayo and 1/3 c. sour cream.

Thanks Stacey, for a winner! What a great alternative to using leftover ham without the stereotypical cheesy potatoes and ham. I had to use what I had on hand and used part swiss/part cheddar; 1/2 bag broccoli; added mushrooms to fill it out; and miracle whip (1/2 C. rather than 1 C. mayo) and went with the original recipe amount for prepared mustard (not dijon). The leftovers are even better the next day!

Husband said it had a weird tang. I halved the mayo but it was still too much for us. Next time I'll try substituting sour cream for the mayo. Thanks for the recipe.

I halved the amount of mayo in this recipe, but still found the taste to be a bit mustardy. I just didn't care for it personally; neither did my kids, although my husband loved it, so it must be a matter of personal taste.

I used cream of asparagus, mixed veggies and half the mayo. My husband doesn't like mayo OR mustard. I did not let him see the recipe, and he had two servings. Thanks for a good leftover ham recipe!

This recipe was good, but I agree after making it once that you can cut the mayo in 1/2 and it would still be more then enough. I also reduced the mustard by 1/2 and it still had an overpowering mustard flavor.

This was a very tasty dish! The ONLY change I made was that I sauteed an 8 oz. box of sliced baby bellas and added it to the mixture. I used shredded sharp cheddar for extra flavor versus just regular cheddar. Was even better the next night! Will definitely make this again.

This was very easy and very flavorful! The mustard gives it just the perfect punch! I'd love to find a healthier alternative to the mayo, but it really was wonderful!

We had this for dinner tonight, and it was just wonderful. It was very easy to make and a wonderful way to use up leftover ham. As always with a first attempt at any new recipe, I made it exactly as the recipe states. It is truly wonderful as-is and needs no adjustment, in my opinion, unless you just want to experiment. I will definitely make this again. Couple of Notes/Ideas: (1) Several reviewers stated that they reduced the mustard to 1T instead of two. Look closely, the recipe only calls for 2 TEASPOONS of mustard...and this amount is just enough to give the flavor kick it needs. (2) The next time I make this, I will substitute steamed fresh broccoli flourettes instead of the frozen chopped broccoli. I think that might add a better texture and flavor. That's it! Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

I expected and hoped to enjoy this recipe, but I was disappointed. All I tasted was the mayonnaise. In fact, after eating it, I checked the recipe to make sure I didn't accidentally add too much. But no, I made the recipe as instructed. Maybe it would be better with only 1/2 cup of mayo.

This was a huge hit in our house.....my four year old gobbled it up and even my 9 month old kept having to have a taste. Instead of the broccoli, I added frozen peas and carrots and I also only used half of the mayonnaise and it was still very creamy. This is a quick and easy recipe to use up left over ham.

This was really surprisingly good! I used long grain white rice because it's all I had, and dijon mustard because it's my favorite. My 18 month old son devoured it. Very good, and a very fast meal!
