I just made the dough and it was good. I made it in the bread maker and put the water and yeast and vanilla on the bottom and then the dry ingredients on top and it worked out great. It could be a bit more flaky and less bready but my husband and kids liked it.

Having actually made the wrap portion of the wiener wraps, I would give it 4 stars. The roll portion is a little heavy, they puff up nice and pretty, but I don't know if the prep work is worth the end result.

I wish there was a 4 1/2 star option. My hubby had these as a kid and was reminiscing about them, so I made them. I'll admit, I cheated and used a store-bought biscuit dough (time saver), and instead of putting the ketchup in the wrap, served it as a dipping sauce, but otherwise followed the directions. This is a super easy recipe, which was a big plus (t-ball game night). But while my hubby and kids loved them (my 6 year old had 2 and wanted a 3rd!), I thought they were only so-so, and didn't think the cheese added anything to the recipe. Hubby said he loved the addition of the cheese to the wraps - I guess the ones he had as a kid didn't have cheese. They want me to make them again, so I will. They just didn't impress me all that much. Maybe with the homemade dough they will though...
