This was tasty bread, and you have to love the presentation. However, I would flip the directions and make the whole wheat bread first. The white rose so much faster that the wheat never had a chance to catch up, so make the wheat first so it gets a head start and both doughs will finish rising closer to the same time. I think next time I will add dark molasses to the wheat bread instead of the honey, just to give it a darker color for even more contrast. A good bread overall.

This was my first attempt at making homemade bread. Delicious! I followed the recipe and didn't change anything. Perfect - and will absolutely make again!

This recipe is great. i'm going to enter it in my county fair this coming week end the only advice I'd give is to make sure not to set the first batch of dough in an too warm area mine rose really fast the first tim and caused me probablems while i waited for the other half of dough to rise
