So easy. I only had white flour, but turned out great anyways. All the other recipes for beer bread called for self rising flour and this didn't. That is why I choose this one.

I've made this recipe 3 times now, and I love it. It is easy to throw together, it doesn't take many ingredients, and it is really neat how using a different beer alters the taste. So far I have used only Samuel Adam's beers (Oktoberfest, Cream Stout and Boston Lager) and they all had a unique and delicious taste. I followed another reviewer's suggestion of putting some melted butter on top and cutting back on the salt. Overall this is a recipe I will be making over and over again.

I followed the recipe as written except for reducing the salt to 1 teaspoon. I used O'Douls non-alcoholic beer but didn't taste any beer flavor to the finished product so I will use regular beer or ale next time. The bread dough came out more like a batter for me - I was able to mix it up easily with just the wooden spoon. The bread came out wonderfully and was delicious. This is a recipe that will become a part of my favorite baking collection.

I would give this more stars if I could!. I have been making recipes off of websites for years without rating them,I just HAD to rate this one! I used all purpose flour because I didn't have any whole wheat, I cut the salt by half as reviewers had suggested. I used dos exis beer, and very old expired baking powder because that was all my bf had. Poured 2 sticks of melted butter on top only. I was very skeptical about the results. I was soooo wrong in an extremely yummy way! My boyfriend and I ate it hot right out of the oven! Made some more the next day because it didn't last. The consistency of the bread was as of zuchini or banana bread when hot and it was crusty on top. It was great! had it with butter and honey. Next time will cut out the suger, and try rosemary and olive oil!- thanks Blchrisman for this wonderful recipe. I am officially addicted!

super easy recipe and was very good! I made as is (although i cooked it a little too long - 55 minutes - so it was a little chewier) and I think i would like to add a little cheddar cheese and diced chillis or melted butter on the top or something else to give it a little more kick

So easy and delicious!! Other than cutting back on the salt, I made no changes. The bread has a nice crispy, crust, and soft, chewy center. My bread was done perfectly after 50 minutes.

This is such an easy bread and it turned out great. I gave it only 4 stars though because the salt content needs altering. I used half the amount indicated (as other reviewers had suggested), and it was perfect. I used Buffalo Bill's pumpkin ale, and it complemented the brown sugar very well.

This was THE BEST! Have not made beer bread before tonight, no excuse! I followed the recipe exactly but put in 1 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning as suggested by another baker. Went perfect with my homemade Italian 'hamburger helper' type dinner. Will definitely make this again.

I made this last night and it turned out great! I did add about 2 tablespoons of honey to the batter and used a Miller Light since that was all I had and it turned out wonderful. This loaf won't last long at our house. Next time I will try it with Orange soda.

This bread is some of the most flavorful bread that has ever touched the haven of my mouth. With a good India pale ale, such as Dogfish Head sixty minute both in the bread and to drink with it, I couldn't think of a better afternoon snack. Honestly, I believe the more hoppie the beer the better the bread. A+
