Wow, these are amazing waffles; thank you so much for the recipe!!! I have to say I was starting to get a little irritated making them because of all the ingredients, but it was well worth it and we will definitely be making these waffles many more times :) The only complaint I have is that I didn't make more of them. Thanks again for this recipe!!!

This is the best waffle recipe I have used. I was looking for a healthier version and tried this one. The waffles were wonderful. My entire family enjoyed them. I can't eat eggs so I used a substitution of 2 Tbsp water & 2 tsp baking power per egg and it turned out wonderful.

Loved this recipe! I didn't have whole wheat pastry flour and used regular whole wheat flour. These turned out crispier and baked higher than my normal "unhealthy" waffle recipe. Thank you for sharing!

Great recipe. They were lighter than I was expecting. My kids loved them. I followed the suggestion of making them with a blueberry sauce. I used the recipe on the website and they were delicious. I even liked the sauce better than syrup.

My kids DEVOURED this! I didn't have the wheat germ, or flax, so I substituted oatmeal that I blended/chopped a little so it wouldn't be so bulky, but I think it would be fine without the chopping! DELICIOUS!!!!

Just because they're good for you doesn't mean they don't taste awesome! This recipe is not just for health nuts, so don't pass it by when you see wheat germ, flax seed, whole wheat flour, etc. I used whole wheat flour rather than pastry flour and they turned out great. While I normally only like crispy waffles, these softer waffles absorbed the butter and syrup perfectly (okay, so I found a way to make it less healthy). Yum, yum!

I loved this recipe! Very healthy and yummy... but I do feel a little guilty giving it 5 stars because my kids only ate about 1 each, when they normally eat 2-3. I'm pretending the wheat just filled 'um up :)

This is a really great recipe. I followed it exactly and they turned out great. I topped them with vanilla yogurt and apricot preserves. A new weekend favorite! I had leftovers so I kept them in the fridge and reheated in the toaster oven, they were just as good leftover. Thanks for a great recipe!

This was a good basic recipe. I made it on my new George Foreman. The only substitution I made was for the wheat germ (put in quick cooking oats)and oil (more applesauce). I think the next time I make these I will add in fruit or chocolate chips and still keep it healthy.

I made exactly as directed. These waffles wouldn't get crisp until I toasted them in the toaster oven. The taste is okay - they taste like healthy waffles, but don't taste bad. I'll eat them because I like that they are good for me, but I wouldn't serve them to guests.

Very good! My kids never said anything about it being healthy. I made the batter the night before and gave it a stir in the morning and they cooked up perfect! I added a little cinnmon to the batter!

Wonderful easy waffles that are good for you too? And they taste great? What is not to like about this recipe. I used whole wheat flour instead of the wheat pastry flour and oatmeal instead of the wheat germ. I let the batter rest in the fridge for about 45 min. before cooking them. This is my new waffle recipe.

The flavor is amazing!!! I followed the recipe exactly, EXCEPT I did not have wheat germ... so I just left that out. I only wish they were crunchier.

These were alright, you could definitely taste that they are healthy and they are not sweet. That said, they aren't bad, especially for healthy waffles, I'm just not sure I would make them again.

These are so wonderful! I have been making them for a few months now and my family loves them. When I don't have flax seed on hand I use oatmeal, or I split it half and half. Also I like to double the recipe and freeze some for mornings we have to get out of the house fast. Healthier than a toaster pastry!

These are excellent. I ground WW flour, blended rolled oats to make oat flour, ground flax seed and added millet. Also used all applesauce to replace the oil. These are the best and sooo nutritious. Thanks for a great recipe.
