Tastes awesome. This being my first yeast bread recipe, I don't know where I went wrong but my bread didn't rise much at all and came out very dense. I used more ww flour than ap flour, so maybe that's why? Don't know but I am definitely trying again because this tastes awesome even on the 2nd day (chewing on the few last bits). Oh and I added some sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds.. Much better than "freshly baked" store-bought bread.

This recipe is frickin money!! I followed the recipe, without exception. The texture is so nice. Firm, soft, moist, slightly sweet...haha a journey moment. Seriously, as good as any multi-grain bread I've ever had. I have been looking for a good multi-grain bread recipe and now I have it. Thanks Nancy

Yum! Very whole grain, but still light and fluffy. Score! I used wheat bran instead of germ (apparently I only have one or the other in this house!) and it worked well. I used the breadmaker for the dough then let rise and baked in the oven at 375 for 33-35 mins or so. I completely forgot to top with sesame seeds, but I also didn't make it into a ball--I decided to go with a loaf pan for today's bread foray. I'll try this again with a more rustic feel--it's really good bread! Thanks for the recipe!

This is a delicious, sort of sweet easy bread! I also winged it a little bit, I had no rye so I used more whole wheat; I didn't have wheat germ so I used sunflower seeds, and I cooked it in a loaf pan - this made a beautiful, big loaf! Mine never really 'doubled' on the first rise, and I only let it rise about 20 mins in the pan and it's gorgeous!

I inverted the ratio of whole wheat & all purpose flours. Turned out well. Sweet indeed!

Very delicious; the honey makes it moist and surprisingly sweet. I used 3/4 a cup of whole wheat flour and omitted the rye flour and thought it was fine. I learned a trick that if you spray water inside the oven before closing the door to allow it to bake, it makes the bread mad moist; it's true! Can't wait to have a sandwich with it tomorrow!!!

This is fabulous recipe. I made the dough in the bread machine, then punched down and followed the instructions. The only minor changes I made was to use wheat bran instead of wheat germ (that's all I had on hand), I also used a whole egg to make sure it was nice and brown and used both poppy seeds and sesame on top. Will be making again in a hurry!

We loved this bread! Because I don't eat dairy I substituted tofu and it turned out great. It's a little sweet so I think next time (and there will be a next time) I will make it into a raison bread. DELISH!

I made this recipe into cloverleaf rolls with my bread machine, and they were very good. It is a light whole grain bread---not heavy and dense. It worked very well for rolls.
