This is my husband's favorite cake, although my filling recipe is slightly different, with corn syrup and powdered sugar as additional ingredients. It is always his birthday cake.

I took this cake to a NYE party and there weren't any CRUMBS left!!! Everyone raved over how good it was! I used a French Vanilla Cake mix (tasty) and increased the white chocolate in the cake mix and frosting to 4 oz each. I wanted a layer cake so I used 9" pans. When the cake was cooling, I applied the ganache/fudge mixture (to which I added 2 TBSP heavy cream) and then popped the layers in the freezer for about 20 minutes to make it easier to frost. I used another buttercream icing recipe instead of buying storebought icing. I'll definitely make this one again. thanks for the great recipe!

This was the best recipe I could have stumbled upon. I was in a pinch and needed to make a dessert and I wanted to use what was already in the pantry. All I had was french vanilla cake mix which was fine because I just happened to have french vanilla whipped topping. I did not have any canned frosting so I threw together a simple buttercream frosting from powder sugar butter and canned milk. It looked a little "blah" in the pan so I toasted some coconut and threw that on top. I recived a lot of raves about this one.

This recipe is delicious. I have been using this for 8 years. The only difference in my recipe is I only use half the frosting amount and I add 4 oz of cream cheese and then I only use half the tub of cool whip. All other ingredients are the same. It makes the taste 10 times better and it isn't too sweet that way. Yum!! Awesome!!

This was not for us. Although the kids loved it. It was far too sweet for any of the adults taste.
