Great cookies!! I added an extra tspn of vanilla. We also substituted butterscotch chips and chocolate chips for the white chocolate. Turned out very tasty! Definitely will make again.

Awesome chewy cookie. I use a Pampered Chef baking stone 'n have to start cooking them at about 12 min till the stone is staying hot then 10. I'd rather undercook than overcook though.

Excellent cookies. The look beautiful and have a nice flavor. I made them white chocolate, macadamia nut, coconut cookies. Next time I will use pecans because I think they add more flavor. Regular chocolate chips would be great too.

Loved this recipe...The only change I made was lowering the oven temperature to 350 degrees since my oven cooks hot. I highly recommend this one!

Very easy and crowd pleasing - I used walnuts instead of pecans, and only 1/2 the chips about 3/4 cup dried cranberries. Yum! Great base recipe.

I really didn't think these cookies were very good at all. I bake very often and have tried many recipes off of this website. I followed this recipe EXACTLY and the cookies were solid, and the actual cookie had a pretty bland flavor. The majority of the flavor came from the chips. I love cookies and sweets, but I could barely even choke one of these down. I will not make this recipe again!

Other than using wheat flour and omitting the pecans because I didn't have them on hand, I followed this recipe exactly. The texture and appearance of the cookies were great but the flavor was somewhat lacking. Everyone ate them but no one raved about them. They were good but not great.

So far so good. Of course I made changes since I always have to for some reason. I omittted 1/2 C white sugar and added 2 tbls corn syrup, added 1 tbls 1/2 & 1/2 (cream or milk will do fine). This is a thick dough. I added 1 cup of dried cranberries and omitted the nuts and lastly, I added 1 tsp of cinnamon. Next time I will add more cinnamon, these are really delicious!

Best oatmeal cookies I've tasted, I am getting rid of other recipes - esp. b/c these cookies actually rise well, it must be baking powder. Also, dried cherries are a great addition instead of or along with pecans.

This recipe was great! I used macadamia nuts instead of pecans because my husband has been bugging me for some white chocolate/macadamia cookies. The only thing was that they took around 16 minutes to bake. I know that the directions say they are best when lightly browned, but they were still dough after only 12 minutes.

This is my first review after being on this site for years now.. but this is the one recipe I use over and over again. I change nothing but add up to a cup of chopped dried apricots..the combination of the white chocolate and fruit is just amazing! I have never had anyone turn down seconds, t hirds, on and on! Great cookie.

These are the absolute best cookies I've ever made, hands down. The texture is perfect, especially since I used instant oats and they puffed up to give a nice body to the cookie. The problem others have had with texture may be related to their oven temp. A too-hot oven can cause over-carmelization in a high sugar/butter recipe and result in hard cookies.
