This recipe is extremely bland as written. We had to quadruple the spices and only then did it have some flavor... and it really wasn't that great of a flavor. I know there are far better white chili recipes out there.

This recipe is awesome. The first time, I didn't have all the ingredients on hand, so I altered it a bit, adding an adobo chipotle pepper (instead of diced green peppers), a can of black beans (I only had 2 cans of white and smooshed up one of the white). Also, I like my chili a little thicker, so I added a touch of corn starch, threw in some rice and frozen corn and voila! It was delicious!

We all loved this recipe!!! The cinnamon and cumin together are awesome. I changed it a bit by adding less chicken soup and adding WAY more cumin...a few table spoons more. Also added more cayenne pepper and some tabasco for kick.

Flavor was great. I wasn't sure about adding 2 cups of cheese since I was making it in the slow cooker and feared there would be a big glob of cheese. So I left it out. What I would do if you are going to leave out the cheese is to add another can of beans and puree that one as well. Cut back the chicken stock to 32 oz and drain at least one of the cans of beans that you are not going to be pureeing. Otherwise, it's more like a soup than a chili, it's still good but if you want it more hearty and without cheese this is what I would do.

yuh-umm! This is fabulous! There's probably no need to change this recipe at all, but frozen corn & black beans sounded really good so I went with it... and liked it! Also, as I was adding the broth, 5 cups seemed like it was going to be a bit much for 'chili' so I stopped at 4... definitely enough fluid for us. Oh, and the cinnamon totally works! Use less if you're not sure, but I would say it's essential to the white chili flavor... We luh-uvved this recipe!!

I'm going to try this one again without the cinnimon, it was all you could taste. I think without it will be great.

I love white chili and was looking for a healthy ground turkey recipe and found this one. After reading the other reviews I halved the cinnamon but wish I wouldn't have added it at all. It seemed like it overpowered the taste of the chili. I also added a a few tbs. of taco seasoning which is something my other white chili recipe had in it. Great recipe but next time I will leave out the cinnamon!

I love it and it taste even better in a crock pot after 2 hours. I kinda liked the cinnamon but I don't think everyone would. I also added an extra bag of cheese and more salt.

Yum. I added 1 can of black beans and a can of corn. I also only used 3 cups of chicken broth as suggested by other users. It is excellent, the cinnamon is a really tasty touch.

This recipe has a unique flavor and tasted good. I made a few changes. I could not find canned chili peppers at the grocery store so I used 5 fresh serrano chili peppers. I used 3 to saute with the turkey mixture. The other 2 were pureed with the cannellini beans in the blender. That made it pretty spicy but the cinnamon and cumin still could be tasted. I also used about 3.5 cups of broth based on some of the previous reviews. If needed I will add more broth when I reheat. I have a feeling this might be better tomorrow after sitting for a bit. If I make this again, I may puree more of the beans.

So good and a great alternative to regaulr chili that can feel heavy at times. I doubled the recipe and added a can of corn. Somebody suggested to monitor the chicken broth to make it as thick as you want it and that was a great suggestion. My husband and mother loved it and want me to make it again!

Best white chili recipe I've made so far. I added spices as listed but did leave out a little broth. Perfect consistency and flavor.

This is one of my most favorite recipes. My mouth waters thinking about it. Don't be put off by it's looks, I do admit it doesn't look all that appetizing. By the way, to me, the cinnamon makes the dish, so I don't suggest omitting it. Give this one a try!

Delicious! The cinnamon should definitely not be omitted - it really makes the dish! However, next time I make it I'll leave out a cup or so of the broth... Just a little soupy for what I was going for.

This is one of my favorite recipes! I always substitute for one can of well-drained black beans for visual interest. I also add 3 or 4 chopped up canned Embasa Chipotle peppers instead of green- this gives it a smoky flavor that is unbeatable. The other can't miss step is to add freshly chopped cilantro to the top.
