I made this chili for a tailgate party and it was gone in 15 minutes. A few changes that I made: I used half of the cinnamin and you could still taste it but it was subtle enough to be a nice taste but not overpowering. I used one can of corn. I used half of the broth and I used an equal amount of both mild and hot green chiles. I also did not add the cheese until serving the chili. An extra clove of garlic or two can never hurt either. Topped with sour cream and cheese and served. It was the best chili at the tailgate.

I was looking for something to make with leftover Thanksgiving turkey and so I used cubed turkey instead of ground turkey. Otherwise followed the recipe exactly. I have to give this only 3 stars because the cinnamon flavor pervaded the dish, that's all I could taste, it was very prevalent. My husband however loved it (although this was afer an afternoon of watching football afer having consumed numerous beers). I don't think I will make again, but if I do, I will omit the cinnamon, because I think it might have been pretty good without it.

This was good, but I did make a few changes. I cut the broth to 2 cups to give it more of a chili texture..not soupy. I also did not like it with the cinnamon the 1st time so now I make it without it. I add some diced jalapeno for more kick and top with sour cream. Easy and quick meal and a nice change from regualr chili. Thanks!

Try with more turkey. Consider cubed ham or chicken. Experiment with black beans. Green chiles were good, try jalapenos. Don't add more cinnamon.

i had to add salt to this, my mom & i loved it, but our "steak & potatoes" hubbies were not so fond. they didn't like the "herby" taste, so next time i am going to cut down a little on the oregano & cumin, but mostly on the cinnamon - it didn't add the WoW factor i thought it would. overall, pretty good but needs some personal tweaking.

Just delicious! Only recommendation is to add way less broth -- I used it all and needed to add more beans and simmer for a couple hours to try to cook off excess liquid. served it over brown rice too with grated cheese. this is a keeper!!

The family loved this. I'm not sure about the cinnamon, though. I think next time I'll skip it and add cilantro. Very good topped with sour cream.

My husband is allergic to tomatoes, so I am always looking for old favorites that have been remade WITH OUT tomatoes. Since there are only two of us, I changed the conversion to four (so we can have leftovers) and swapped out a couple of things that I didn't have. I used Great Northern Beans and Italian seasoning instead of oregano. Because people raved about the cinnamon, I put in about 1/2 tsp. It does add something to the flavor and I would do it again. I was also out of cumin and I used 2 tsp of chili powder. As soon as my water boils, I will serve it over macaroni! Happy eating!

Excellent basic recipe. I didn't realize that I was out of oregano so I substituted w/ fresh cilantro. As per other reviewers, I added 1 can of corn (drained) and I reduced the broth & cinnamon. As I see it, these were small changes to an excellent quick recipe.

We love this twist on chili. The only thing I change about this is cutting down on the chicken broth to 2 cups. Otherwise, it's too soupy and not thick like I think chili should be. Even the kids like this one and it's great topped with a dollop of sour cream!

This is different and delicous. If using the 3-5 cups of broth, I would suggest not adding cheese to pot as it gets stringy and just sticks to the pot and serving utensil. Pureeing some beans for thicker base would probably help this. I used 1 can great northern, 1 can red kidney, and 1 small can corn because it's what I had - and adds some color. I also used some whole cumin seeds, in addition to listed ingreds.

We tried this recipe tonight and got really good reviews from everybody. My family and then extended family were over and they all LOVED it! The picture doesn't do justice for this recipe. My husband said this would be a recipe he would like to keep in rotation. Tasted better with flour tortillas we all thought and added the cheese individually. Other than that I followed the recipe to a T. A+++

This is excellent! I used maybe a cup of broth because I prefer a thicker chili. I added a Knorr's chicken bullion. I doubled the cumin because I love that spice. I also only did 1/2 tsp of cinnamon which was perfect. The flavor that it gives is great. Of course I added more garlic..5 large cloves. Did not have cayenne on hand so used red pepper flakes. I left out the cheese, I did not think it needed the extra fat and with less broth it was already nice and thick. I served with a dollop of low fat sour cream, more figure friendly that way and a great taste too. I really love this chili. I also love the idea of mashing the one can of the beans. Makes it even thicker...like I like it. Dont use all the broth or you will be making a soup..not that the flavor will be off...but if you want a nice thick yummy chili recipe...this is it. Another update> I made this again and used Ground Turkey breast...I cooked it up with a little olive oil with the onions and garlic. However, just not as flavorful as with ground turkey...the ground turkey breast is a little too dry and flavorless. I thought maybe you would not notice with all hte yummy flavors going on, but I did.

Being a born and raised Ohioan who loves cincinnati chili I love the cinnamon- how brilliant to add it to a white chili. I would say that if the idea of cinnamon turns you off, look for another recipe. But if you like cincinnati chili and want to try something new look no further! This is the perfect cold weather meal with sour cream, extra cheese and crushed tortilla chips on top, what else could you need?

I thought this was a really solid recipe. I liked the addition of the cinnamon - gave the dish a little added complexity, which was unexpected in a chili! We will definitely make this again as the weather cools, and I'm looking forward to trying some of the recommended variations (corn, black beans, shredded chicken, etc).

Awesome flavor and so easy to make! I loved it, my husband loved it and the left overs were good too. It was quick to make, inexpensive and simple. I'll definately add this to my regular dishes. I usually get bored with ground turkey, but with this soup you can't even tell that it's turkey.
