Yum, yum, yum! Used dried sage instead, but this recipe was still wonderful. Would definitely recommend to others.

This recipe was fabulous! Very easy to prepare and it tasted delicious. I didn't have any fresh sage so I used tons of fresh basil (which to me was even better), and instead of kale I used fresh spinach. Served with whole wheat rigatoni. Thanks Carol!

I thought this was a really great healthy vegetarian meal!! I used spinach instead of kale, and dried sage. Went really well with the 'Light Wheat Rolls' recipe on this site. I will make this again!! Yum!!

I thought this was really tasty, especially with some added grilled diced chicken and some crumbled crispy smoked bacon on top. Also, I used small white beans and penne pasta instead of rigatoni. Add a sprinkling of parmesan cheese on top of everything and you have one tasty dinner. My husband didn't like this, only because he doesn't like sage or penne. But, if you like all these ingredients it's worth giving it a shot. It's easy and quick and tasty.

I used spinach instead of Kale, and added turkey sausage. Other than that followed recipe to the T. You don't need the sausage, the recipe is good as a vegetarian dish. Will make again.

Delicious, filling, and pretty one dish meal! My only addition was chopped artichoke hearts. The sage was a pleasant surprise as I have never used it in a pasta dish before. We will definitely have this again!

Simple and pretty good. Not delicious or amazing. I used dried sage and gluten free pasta. I think the person who added sausage was on the right track, needs a little something more. Didn't have a lot of flavor.

I made this on the fly tonight (I had planned to do something else and was missing an ingredient). Very quick, easy, and good. The sage is an interesting touch that I wouldn't have thought of. I did add sliced spicy smoked sausage for my son (he can cope better with greens and mushrooms if I sweeten the deal for him), which was also very good. Thanks for the recipe!

I use whole wheat rigatoni and double the kale to make this meal extra healthy. My grocery store never seems to have fresh sage in stock so I just use dried. I love this recipe! Its the perfect after work healthy meal.

yummy! I made this today and used whole grain pasta and added a jar of artichokes to the sauce. We also browned some chicken tenderloins like another user suggested and it was so good. Fits in with my diet and the kids ate it too!

This was really good! I made a few changes just based on what I had on hand. I added bell peppers and a can of corn. I used black beans and mozzarella cheese because I had those on hand. This is my and my husband's favorite meal ever made with kale. I think you could make a lot of changes (additions or substitutions) and still have a really great dish!

This was a good, one pot, pretty healthy meal. I omitted the sage (I don't like sage) so the overall flavors were very mild. I added a half pound of cooked, crumbled bacon and we all agreed that the bacon made the dish. I also used spinach instead of kale and feta instead of parmesan--all good but definitely interchangeable in this dish. Thanks!

Ok, this was delicious - the fresh sage really gave it a lovely flavour. I used small white beans because I'm not a huge fan of cannelinis, and they were very good. The only drawback to this recipe is that I had to cook it for about thirty minutes to get the kale tender - after I'd cooked it for five minutes or so it was practically raw. I think next time I'm going to boil the kale first and just stir it into the sauce at the end. Perhaps some people like it crunchy, but it's very bitter like that and I think it tasted much better when it was fully cooked.

I cubed a couple small chicken breasts and sauted them with the onions. Made this pretty much a one pot meal. Delicious either way.

Very easy, tasty pasta- my whole family loved it. Even my very picky 12 year old daughter ate a whole bowl! I made 2 substitutions: 1) I didn't have kale, so I used spinach instead; 2) I used 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning (which has sage) instead of sage.
